Extended Talk Time and Reduce Interference
Panasonic introduces the latest in innovative solutions with its new line of low interference DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Communications) 6.0 cordless telephones systems. The major benefits of this new line of DECT phones include up to 17 hours of talk time, substantial handset expandability, and markedly reduced interference.

What are the benefits of Panasonic DECT 6.0 Phones?
Engineered to work in the 1.9 GHz frequency range, these phones will not conflict with other wireless devices such as 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi computer routers, wireless keyboards and mousse, microwave ovens, and other common household devices. And because it?s digital, DECT 6.0 technology also provides long ranges, excellent clarity, and helps deter eavesdropping.

Multiple voice paths are used to enable the entire series to provide up to 3-way conferencing, this allows for multiple handsets to be used at the same time and up to 2 handsets can join into a conversation with one outside caller. They also provide for Intercom between handsets and Phonebook Sharing.

Additionally, these systems are extremely comfortable and easy to use, with the handsets featuring large keypads buttons that are almost twice the size of standard phone keypad buttons, and are designed top fit comfortably in both your hand as well as cradled on your neck. all models in the DECT 6.0 line include a base station-integrated digital answering machine with voice menu, digital handset speakerphones, handsets with a clock on the LCD with alarm function, three-line backlit LCD, and incoming call indicator lights.

I got this phone about a week ago in order to replace a 2.4 panasonic that died -some numbers were not dialing and finally battery hookup broke off- In general I like the phone but it has some major things I don’t like.
Pros: Easy to set up. You get 2 phones with 1 phone jack. Speakers are great! (unlike with my old phone people don’t complain when I use them). You can hear answering machines messages from either remote set. Phonebook sharing. You can conference between phones and call each other (big hit with my kids).
    Cons:
    1. There is something wrong with the volume (I read complains about it in reviews in Circuit city and thought maybe person had hearing problem… but no, they were right). Let me explain: the volume goes up and down by itself for no good reason. One phone call you hear great and next one is really low so you need to adjust volume and it goes up and then down on its own again -sometimes during the same call while you are talking- …. You can live with it, you adjust volume but I don’t particularly like playing with volume every other call! For me it is really a pain!
    2. Answering machine base don’t display the number of messages you have (it has no lcd screen!). No talking id or any other fancy stuff either.
    3. When you play messages from answering machine the sound is a little boxy, robot like…not clear. This does not happen if you hear messages from the phones themselves.

In conclusion I would say this is an all right phone, I expected better… but it is also not very expensive and it has the latest technology. I guess now I know why some 5.8 panasonic phones (previous technology) were more expensive than this one… you get what you pay.

I have just used this for 3 days now. Very happy. The specifications do little justice to this phone. 1. This unit has a speakerphone on both handsets. I thought there would be just one on the base fixed unit. 2. Unlike the comparable Uniden model, this has a headset jack. 3. The buttons are big and easy to dial.

No wireless router interference. Overall very happy so far. Much more than I expected.

We’d looked long and hard at the latest 5.8gHz Unidens (TRU9300 and TRU9400) and Panasonic (6000 series) and hadn’t been exactly overwhelmed by the range and voice quality. Battery life was a joke.

The we heard about the new Panasonic DECT 6.0 phones. In a word: WOW! Dramatically better range, sound quality, and rated talk time than any of the 5.8ghz phones. Uses 2 ordinary AAA NiMH’s. Plus the features of the DECT 6.0 standard itself.

Great all around cordless for the landline
It was hard to find a simple DECT 6.0 cordless phone with a built in digital answering machine and dual handsets that each had a standard headset jack.

Ship fast and in excellant condition. The phone was a great price, less expensive than any retail store for the same part number, including the shipping.

    Great Product
Clear reception. Works thrughout the house and in the yard. Answer machine messages are heard at the handsets and not at the base.

I purchased these for use at a remote location where I am at the end of the lines from telephone equipment and have poor service.

    Great phone
We ordered this phone set after reading the reviews on line. It works great! We have it hooked up with our old phone/answering machine to give us three phone sets.

I Should Have Known Better, but I Always Trusted Panasonic
The volume on the phone and the answering machine is VERY low at it’s highest level. Cheaply made. I will have to replace this soon.
