I am very happy with the Siemens phone and highly recommend it. The only thing I don’t like is that the screen is on all the time but otherwise is very good and attractive.

Customer Review: Nice phone, too bad it doesn’t work!
I received my S455 yesterday. Today I am unfortunately returning it.
Pro: Great looking, nice screen, love the different features, answering machine sounds great, made in Germany (not China).
Con: The caller ID feature doesn’t work. It only shows “External Call”.
I contacted Siemens, they said that it is a programming problem with some of their phones, especially on Verizon networks. I don’t have Verizon service. They emailed me a “patch” (a series of codes) that I entered myself into the phone. No result. I called them back and they advised me to return the phone.
I can’t believe that Siemens can’t figure out a basic feature like caller ID, and that they sell phones knowing that they might not work on certain networks.
I am very dissapointed. I expected a lot more from a German company.
