Customer Review: Great Phone - it worked well for us for over 2 years
My wife and I bought this phone in 2005 and it has been a great phone and answering machine for us. About 6 months ago the battery started dying on us quite regularly and it finally got to the point where you couldn’t talk for more than about 10 minutes before it would die entirely. If we could have found a replacement battery for a decent price, we probably would have just replaced the battery, but it was actually cheaper to replace the entire unit with a similar AT&T handset (that we’re also pretty happy with).
Customer Review: Acceptable, but display died.
Like most others, bought per CU’s recommendation. If this was the best of the lot, the others must be really awful!. Sound quality and overall low volume are minor liabilities. The handset display, however, has lost the ability to display entire contents, making Caller ID and Call Return generally useless. AT&T won’t replace if warranty expired or repair, so I’m stuck with looking for another entire unit. In response to another review, I’ve been able to use chain dialing just fine. That’s like for the 1-800 number for my calling card followed upon connection with my PIN. There is a pause that can be inserted between the two, giving just enough time to make the through connection.

We’ve had this phone for over 3 years now… and it still works great. I believe I’ve only replaced the battery once. I would recommend this phone.
Customer Review: Only lasted two years
Bought this phone a couple of years ago to replace a failing not-very-old Sony cordless (doesn’t anybody make quality phones any more?). I noticed immediately that the sound quality was not as good as the Sony but we got used to it. Within the last few months though the sound started cutting in and out so that you can’t hear the caller. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Maybe something is loose inside, I don’t know but the phone is no longer usable after two years. We never used the answering function so I can’t comment on that. Anyway I just ordered a Panasonic 5.8 GHz phone last night. Hopefully the third time is the charm.

Great, basic phone that also does the little things…Caller ID, phone directory, programming, etc. You can’t beat it for the price…quality, style are both excellent. AT&T is generally very reliable.
Customer Review: Sleek design, poor sound quality
Synopsis: Space-saving base design, but poor sound quality (for person you are calling) and frequent bouts of interference have forced me to send this product back. The Good: * Compact design of base allows for easy placement in tight areas. * Backlit display The Bad: * People I have called with this phone complained that voice clarity and volume was lower than usual. * Interference was prominent when in a different room from the base; static is worse when near electric appliances (i.e., computer monitor, microwave) This phone has similar levels of interference as my old Panasonic 900 MHz phone. I have also tried the Motorola MA351 2.4 GHz phone. Neither phone has been spectacular.

Customer Review: Waste of money
Waste of money. This is the first time I’ve bought an AT&T product; and will never do so again. All the other reviews summed up every reason why not to buy this piece of junk.
I’m sticking with Panasonic. Over 20 years of reliable good phones from them; it was a mistake for me to try this set. (Yes, it was on sale…lol!)
Customer Review: Button trouble
The buttons on this phone are very hard to use. Sometimes you have to push them down really hard and press squarely in the middle. With other buttons if you do this you will dial the same number twice. This thing can be very frustrating. Does anyone have a key pad that works well?
