Customer Review: Unreliable in the long run
I loved this phone when I first got it but about a year later the problems started to crop up. We have the main base station and an extra handset and charger. The LCD on one of the handsets no longer lights up and as a result the characters are so dark that it’s hard to see the caller id or to choose an entry from the phone book’s memory. Now the second handset has a broken 0 zero; we can no longer anyone in our local area codes (703, 301 and 202). This past week we had an electrical storm and an extended power outage. Ever since the power was returned both handsets has a lot of white noise when you are making calls but when I use my OLD corded phone on the same phone jack and rj-11 cable, the corded phone is very clear. Now I want to throw both of them directly in the TRASH!

Have had this phone for a year or more. Really like all the features in fact don’t use all of them. But for the price and I need a good clear phone with awesome reception this is a great phone. I do child care so need a reliable phone with good clear reception. I can go outside and move all around my 1/2 acre yard and have no interruptions.

Customer Review: Very nice system, which works great even if you have a wireless computer network.
I have a computer wireless network which caused a lot of popping noises and static when I had a 5.8 GHz Uniden cordless phone system. After a lot of reading and research I bought this AT&T model. And guess what? It really IS clear! No more static. The people I call tell me that my voice is much clearer than before, too. I also like that you only have to enter each phone number into your directory once, and it is automatically added to every handset you own.

Customer Review: Overall happy with phone
I’m overall happy with the phone. The bluetooth is a great feature, especially since I work from home a lot and it’s good to not have to hold the phone.
The ‘cons’ of the phone is that the bluetooth only works from the base station and not from the handset so you have to be close to the base (that also if you want to mute as well; must be done from the base and not on the handset).
Another ‘con’ is that it does not have speed dial. I would think that is a typical standard feature on all modern home phones but not on this one. It’s a bit frustrating since i used the speed dial function a lot on my old phone.
Other than that, I’m happy with the phone and would still recommend it.

I bought this phone AT&T EP5632 5.8 GHz Digital BlueTooth Enabled Cordless Phone with Answering Systemfor the bluetooth functionality, to be able to answer my cell phone, or use my bluetooth headset with the phone. Both work fairly fine, though as others have noted, you have to often reconnect the phone/headset.

I loved the way this phone looked and in the end I guess that’s why I bought a system of 3 of them. They have just found their way to the trash after only 3 short months.

1 handset’s battery completely died (would no longer charge) after 1 month of usage. All phones had background static, audible during a call. Also the speakerphone is completely anemic. The highest setting is still very quiet and not very usable.

Customer Review: DO NOT BUY
I purchased this phone to replace an older Panasonic phone system that was wearing out and I am very sorry to say it is not worth buying, in fact I am going to cut my losses, throw it away and try another product. The range is terrible, I have several of the handsets around my home and one is in direct open line of vision from the base and won’t receive a signal. The only way any of the handsets will work is to pick up when the phone rings and get as close to the base as you can to get a signal. Forget about trying to go outside with it!
