The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I’m getting an “echo” or “overmodulated” sound when I talk and at first I thought it was a form of feedback because I often used the handset in the same room as the base set. But it’s happening in any area of the house. The person on the other end doesn’t hear it, just on my end..A little annoying, but not distorted. I like the phones well enough that I will order the 2 additional handsets. And I haven’t called the company yet, so I’m still not giving the phone a negative review. It’s really a good phone with convenient features for a good price. Customer Review: Very satisfied I have been very satisfied with this phone. The features I needed were a) cordless and b) speaker phone. I don’t use the answering machine feature because I have voice mail and I don’t use the intercom feature because I only have one of these phones. However, the two features I care about have worked flawlessly. The sound quality is excellent (on both ends) with and without the speaker. I would certainly recommend this product without reservation.

AT&T E5908 5.8 GHz Corded and Cordless Phone System with Answering System, Dial-In-Base, and Speakerphone It takes the right technology, the right people, and a bold vision to be the “The World’s Networking Company.” For more than 125 years, AT&T has been known for unparalleled quality and reliability in communications. Backed by the research and development capabilities of AT&T Labs, the company’s commitment to innovation has made it a global leader in local, long distance, Internet, and transaction-based voice and data services. Customer Review: Totally Satisfied When I was initially looking at this phone, about a year ago, I read the reviews listed here and, needless to say, had some concern. However, I went ahead with the purchase anyway and am glad I did. Since my purchase was about a year after the others here who experienced problems, I am presuming that AT&T had time to clear the problems. Both the base unit and the cordless have worked very well and I have had no problems. All aspects of my use have provided excellent service, clarity of conversation, range of the cordless unit, and especially ability to have someone on both the base and cordless at the same time. So far, so good. Customer Review: Unusable I’m sorry, if I buy a phone for its Caller ID feature, I need to have Caller ID that works. The third second that the phone starts ringing, the display shows the person calling for a fraction of a second, and then it just says ** RINGING **. I KNOW that it’s ringing, that’s why I’m looking at the Caller ID screen. I can’t imagine what theory was in practice when they designed this. There are a few other things in the manual that I can’t seem to get to work, such as the ability to get the cordless phone to beep so you can find it. Also you’re supposed to be able to get the cordless phone to have a special ring for certain numbers, but it’s very hard to figure out how to do it. And I don’t understand the instructions about how to change the display contrast. Nothing seems to happen. This is the second AT&T phone I have with weirdness. The other one uses batteries for its Caller ID, and you have to be Hercules with a screwdriver to pry off the cover where the batteries are stored. Very disappointed.

Customer Review: LOVE this phone I had one of these phones that I bought two years ago. No troubles with it at all, and it has out lived most of the other cordlesses we’ve owned. Then we got a really big puppy. Need I say more? I needed a new handset, but unfortunately, this phone was discontinued. I was so delighted to find it from this supplier! When it arrived and I unpacked it, to my dismay it did not have the number buttons on the desk unit. I phoned the supplier to send it back, but he offered me a credit and we’ve combined phones and made it work. All happy. Customer Review: Great value! I needed a new answering machine and wanted a cordless handset. This system is perfect for our needs and was a great value to boot.

AT&T TL72308 - Cordless phone w/ call waiting caller ID & answering system - 5.8 GHz + 2 additional handset(s) PRODUCT FEATURES:5.8 GHz DSS frequency hopping technologyFully integrated digital answering systemExpandable systemThree-handset systemSpeakerphone in handset Customer Review: Good Quality Phones at a Good Price With no reviews to be found on this new phone system out from AT&T I was hesitant to purchase. I must say I am very pleased at the quality of these units so far and the answering machine that accompanies it. The units are well lit with the pleasant blue backlit numbers. The speaker phones on these units are quite excellent with plenty of volume. The answering machine is very intuitive and easy to use with a nice large number of messages waiting display. While this is a very nice set of phones, there are some desirable features that are missing. There is no battery backup for this unit so if you lose power you will have to reset the time. There is no speed dial, however, you can store names from the CID to a directory and dial them from there. Also, there is no visual battery level indicator so you only get notified with tones when the battery is low. My previous phones had that so I knew when to put them back on the base. Some individuals have complained they don’t hear my voice very well when I have a headset plugged in. That may be due to the quality of my headset. I hear them loud and clear so that part is fine. In all I would rate this phone a very good buy as long as they hold up. So far I’ve had them a little over a week and I’m completely satisfied with them.

AT&T E2725B 2.4 GHz DSS Cordless Phone with Dual Handsets and Answering System ATT E2725B offers 2 cordless handsets and a built-in answering machine as a one-line telephone for a large home. The phones are 2.4GHzhigh frequency with a wide range of use and a strong signal. The caller ID/call waiting feature has a 50 name and number caller ID history (requires phone company service). Also features a visual message waiting indicator, 10 ringer tones and a 50 name and number directory. Includes an English/Spanish/French set up menu, adjustable ringer volume and more. Users can operate two handsets with only one telephone jack, providing practicality and value, in addition to being able to intercom between handsets, transfer a call from handset to handset and conference an outside call between handsets. Customer Review: Works OK But look around. The display has a tendency to lose pixels, making caller ID frustrating. Customer Review: Doesn’t last We have had this system for 2 years now. Its going in the trash. Everyone of the chargers (3 and main unit )have quit. We have replaced the batteries but to no avail they won’t work. The new batteries worked for about 3 months and now we again get the “Check Battery” message. To be fair, we are beginning to wonder about a lightning issue but nothing else has been affected. On another note from day one the reception in my studio in the back yard has not been great. I have to step out on to the back porch to get good reception. The prior phone was better. We won’t be buying ATT again.

Customer Review: Cuts off callers The unit cuts off callers mid-sentence. No reason known, although it is usually the same caller which makes it even more annoying. Customer Review: Good phone for a small office I’ve had this phone for 3 years. I purchased it for about $150. It had all the features I was looking for and has worked very well for me. I have a small office with just one employee. While we couldn’t transfer calls as some reviewers criticized, you can put a call on hold, and the other person can then pick up the call. The only thing I didn’t like was the sound on the cordless set seemed on the loud side. But my employee liked that one better, so it worked out the best for all of us. Never had a problem with missing messages or batteries on the handset as other reviewers had.
